In our publishing program we shine a light onto literature for children and young readers in translation from all over the world and make authors voices heard in German-speaking Europe.
Furthermore, Baobab Books promotes intercultural dialogue through literary events and reading projects. Our activities include tours with authors, reading animation in schools, teaching materials, workshops, and more.
As editor of Baobab Books I am looking for quality literature to translate into German that will bring different views and experiences to young European readers. The expression of cultural identity stands at the core of my interests.
Baobab Books publishes only four new titles every year, but we keep a strong and lasting backlist which we promote actively over a long period of time.

바오밥의 출판 프로그램은 전 세계 아동 및 청소년 독자를 대상으로 하는 번역 문학을 조명하고 독일어권 유럽 국가에 다양한 작가의 목소리를 전파합니다. 나아가 바오밥 출판사는 문학 행사 및 독서 프로젝트를 통해 문화 간 대화를 촉진하는 역할을 수행하며 작가와의 투어, 학교 애니메이션 리딩 프로그램, 교재 및 워크숍을 비롯한 여러 가지 활동을 펼치고 있습니다.
